- Groundbreaking and construction of the SMC Phu My Precision Engineering Plant at Phu My 2 Industrial Zone, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province.
- Signing ceremony for the establishment of the VSSC Steel Center Co., Ltd. joint venture — a strategic partnership with Samsung C&T to develop a steel sheet and coil processing facility at Phu My 2 Industrial Zone, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province.

- Commencement of operations at the SMC Da Nang Steel Processing Plant.
- Installation of one (1) new pickling line and one (1) acid waste treatment system at the SMC Mechanical Engineering Plant.

- January 2019 — Commencement of Phase 2 operations at the SMC Steel Mechanical cold-rolled and galvanized steel sheet manufacturing plant.
- May 2019 — Signing ceremony for the capital transfer and establishment of the Hanwa SMC Hanoi Steel Processing Co., Ltd. joint venture between SMC Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company and Hanwa Corporation of Japan.
- July 2019 — Groundbreaking ceremony for the SMC Da Nang Steel Processing Plant.
- Total sales volume reached 1.3 million metric tons of steel products across all categories.

- Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the founding of SMC Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company.
